Terms of Service
1. Parties and Acceptance
These terms form an agreement between you and GCDM Limited (Chinese name 金俊數位行銷有限公司, Taiwan business registration number 42885050, registered address: 11 F.-1, No. 631, Sec. 1, Chongde Rd., Dingcuo Vil., North Dist., Taichung City 404511, Taiwan (ROC)) governing your use of the StarHunter game and official website. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.
2. Accounts
- You hold a licence to use your account; ownership of the account remains with the company
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and for safeguarding your credentials
- Accounts may not be transferred, sold, or rented; we may restrict features or suspend accounts that do
2.1 Guest Mode
As a guest, certain features are limited. The game states which ones, and offers a route to convert to a full account at any time, keeping your progress intact. If you have not converted within the set period we prompt you again in-game; we will not restrict paid entitlements you already hold without telling you first.
2.2 Account Security and Loss
Keep your credentials safe and do not share them. If you find your account has been used without your authorisation, write to service@skyhunter.cfd immediately and we will help you end that account's sign-in sessions.
Where a loss results from your own failure to safeguard credentials, we are liable only to the extent it is attributable to us — but we will still give you reasonable help to recover the account.
2.3 Access to Your Game History
We keep your personal game history for no less than 30 days so you can review it. To request it, write to service@skyhunter.cfd.
3. Intellectual Property and Scope of Licence
All content in the game and on the official website — code, art, characters, music, sound, interface, text, and trade marks — is owned by us or our licensors, together with the copyright and other intellectual property rights in it.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use that content solely for your own non-commercial use of the service. Except where the law allows, you may not reproduce, distribute, publicly transmit, adapt, rent, or sell it, or obtain the source code or assets by reverse engineering or similar means.
3.1 Content You Provide
Content you set in the service, such as your nickname, remains yours. So that it can be shown in-game, appear in leaderboards and social features, and be operated and backed up, you grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use it for those purposes. You must not use a nickname that infringes anyone's rights or is unlawful or inappropriate.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use cheats, modification tools, automation scripts, or anything that interferes with normal operation of the game
- Use multiple accounts to circumvent limits, or engage in commercial account services such as boosting or top-up broking
- Interfere with, damage, or attempt unauthorised access to our systems
- Distribute unlawful or inappropriate content, infringe the rights of others, or reverse-engineer or make unauthorised automated access to the service
4.1 Consequences
We may issue warnings, restrict features, or suspend or permanently ban accounts, proportionate to the conduct. Escalation depends on severity and repetition: warning, then feature restriction, then a 7- or 30-day suspension, then a permanent ban. If you believe a decision was wrong, write to us and we will reply within 30 days.
5. Virtual Items and Payments
- In-game currency, items, and equipment are licences to use within the service only. They have no cash value and may not be traded or cashed out outside the service
- Game points you buy do not expire and are not forfeited through inactivity
- Purchases are generally non-refundable, except where caused by our fault
- Purchases made through an app store are additionally governed by that store's refund policy
- Game points and virtual items are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium. Under Article 2 of Taiwan's Regulations on Reasonable Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal in Distance Sales, such content supplied with the consumer's prior consent falls outside the 7-day withdrawal right in Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act. We tell you this clearly and obtain your consent before the purchase completes; without that consent the 7-day right still applies
- This exception does not affect your right to a refund of unused paid points (see section 10 on ending the contract, section 11 on service termination, and section 6 on minors)
6. Minors
Use by minors requires the consent of a legal guardian. Under Taiwanese law a contract with a person of limited legal capacity (aged 7 or over but under 18) takes effect only with their legal guardian's consent, and a person without legal capacity (under 7) contracts through their guardian.
If game points were purchased without the guardian's consent, the guardian may request a refund; once we have verified this, we refund the unused portion of the fees.
We do not collect age data at registration. Identity and age verification will be required separately when physical redemption opens.
7. Physical Prize Redemption
Physical redemption is not currently available. When the feature launches, the applicable terms (eligibility, fulfilment process, returns and exchanges, withdrawal rights, tax responsibility) will be published separately and your consent obtained.
8. Availability, Maintenance, and Changes to Game Content
We make reasonable efforts to keep the service stable, but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance is announced beforehand in-game or on the website; emergency maintenance may not be announced in advance, and we explain it as soon as we can afterwards.
To keep the game balanced and working, we may adjust values, mechanics, or item effects. Where an adjustment would materially reduce the core usefulness of something you have paid for, we announce it beforehand and offer reasonable compensation or an alternative.
9. What These Terms Do Not Exclude
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory rules, your right to end the contract at any time (section 10), or obligations the law places on us. Any part of these terms that conflicts with a mandatory rule has no effect, and the rest continues to apply.
We do not reserve a final right of interpretation over these terms, and we will not change their substance unilaterally without telling you.
10. Your Right to End the Contract
You may end this contract at any time, either by closing your account in the game or by writing to service@skyhunter.cfd to tell us. We do not attach further conditions to that.
After it ends we refund your unused paid game points or fees within 30 days, less any necessary costs. Amounts already used are not refunded. How we handle your personal data is set out in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to and Termination of the Service
- We may modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the service for operational, security, or legal reasons
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these terms
- If we cease operating the service, we will announce it 30 days beforehand on the website home page, the game login screen, or the purchase screen, and notify you through the contact details you registered
- After the contract ends we will refund your unused paid game points or fees within 30 days, less any necessary costs
12. Limitation of Liability
We are liable to you for this service under the laws of Taiwan. We do not exclude or limit liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or for anything the Consumer Protection Act does not allow to be excluded in advance.
So far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses that could not reasonably be foreseen. Nothing in this section affects the rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or other mandatory rules.
13. Force Majeure
Where the service cannot be provided because of something outside our reasonable control — natural disaster, war, epidemic, telecoms or power failure, government order — we are not in default for as long as that lasts, but we will tell you as soon as we can and take reasonable steps to limit the impact. If it persists so that the service cannot be restored, the refund provisions on service termination in section 11 still apply.
14. Disputes and Jurisdiction
If a dispute arises, please first write to service@skyhunter.cfd; we reply within 30 days. If that does not resolve it, you may take the matter to a consumer protection group, a consumer service centre, or the consumer ombudsman of your municipal or county government.
For litigation the court of first instance is the Taichung District Court, Taiwan, without affecting your right to sue in any other court with jurisdiction under the Code of Civil Procedure or the Consumer Protection Act. We do not use mandatory arbitration.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (ROC).
16. General
- Severability: if any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
- No waiver: if we do not exercise a right under these terms, or delay doing so, that is not a waiver of it
- Contact: we reach you through the contact details registered on your account, so please keep them accurate and working
- Language: the Traditional Chinese version of these terms prevails; other languages are for reference
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the game 30 days before they take effect, and update the last-updated date on this page at the same time. If you do not agree to the changes, you may end the contract at any time under section 10 and claim a refund of unused points.
